    Acrylic Ink Abstract Landscape Workshop

Level: Beginner through experienced. Everyone is welcome. It’s all about experimenting, having fun, and embracing the creative process. Let’s come together, get creative, and explore the beauty of abstract landscapes in a fun, relaxed setting. At the beginning of the workshop I will go over color theory so that you have guidance when choosing colors.

Instructor: Lynne Adams. I’m a traditional and digital artist based in Louisville. My art practice blends realism and abstraction through paintings and drawings in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, ink, charcoal, graphite, and digital media. I also design illustrations and seamless surface pattern designs for fabric, wallpaper, stationery, tech accessories, and home décor. I particularly enjoy working in medium to small-scale.

Materials:  All materials are supplied with your workshop cost. You will leave this workshop with 4-6 pieces of art on watercolor paper.

Inspiration: To inspire your creativity, here's some examples of what we can achieve with acrylic ink. These were beginner students who had never used this medium before. Let these guide you, but you can also bring your own vision to life! Feel free to bring your own simple landscape picture for inspiration.

    Glass/Resin Workshop

Level: No experience necessary. Suitable for ages 18+. A younger but mature child may take the workshop with a paying adult. Examples will be provided, but you may create a design of your choosing. I say, ‘When in doubt, make a flower’.

    Instructor: Annette Summers
I earned a BS in Studio Art from Murray State University where I gained working knowledge of Drawing, Painting, 2D and 3D Design, Printmaking, Weaving, Pottery, and Sculpture. I’ve worked with resin since 2017.

Materials: All materials are supplied for the workshop. You have a choice of an 8x8 inch box frame or a plate ranging from 9 to 11 inch diameter to use for your surface. Paint, brushes, resin, glass, ceramic, and other bits are provided. Students could get paint on their clothes, so dress with that in mind. And remember to bring glasses, if needed, for close-up work. I highly recommend that the art piece stay overnight at Gallery 104, emphasizing the need to keep the art piece level for at least 4 hours and not touched for 12 hours.

Artist -driven classes and workshops are offered in the Gallery 104 Luecke Board Room and Gallery. There are no classes scheduled at this time.

Come a few minutes before class and enjoy a stroll through the gallery.

For all classes, ½ payment is due with registration and final payment is due on or before day
