Class dates: Sundays: October 20th, November 3rd, and November 10th.
Class times: 2:00 - 4:30 pm.
Art Students: Adult. No experience is necessary.

Class Description:
Whether you're a complete beginner or an artist looking to enhance your skills, this class is designed to help you in a supportive and inspiring environment. You will begin to learn the foundational tools to boost your drawing abilities. Join us for a creative and adventurous art journey where you'll learn and experiment with various drawing techniques such as gesture, contour, hatching, and cross-hatching. We’ll have fun creating multiple drawings, and you'll be amazed at the improvement in your artwork due to your efforts. We will make art in sketchbooks, which means lots of creative exploration, drawings, and practice.
Learning the art foundations and practice is the 'true' way to learn how to draw!
Art Skills You Will Learn:
1. Various drawing techniques.
2. To understand how to create beautiful, descriptive lines and marks.
3. To simplify any subject into basic shapes for drawing.
4. To Improve drawing skills through knowledge and practice.
5. How to handle mistakes and turn them into opportunities for improvement.
6. To establish a connection to your artwork.
Materials:
We provide each student with drawing materials: pencils, an eraser, and a sketchbook to use and own.
Instructor: Jennifer Moorhead
Jennifer Moorhead has dedicated her life to the art profession. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Western Michigan University. Over the past 34 years, Jennifer has been a Fine Art Professor in Texas, Indiana, and Colorado. Jennifer Moorhead has also exhibited her work in juried art galleries and art shows regionally and internationally. Currently, she is an exhibiting member artist at Gallery 104.
