Welcome to Arts on the Green (AOG), a juried Fine Arts and Crafts Festival, which benefits the Arts Association of Oldham County (AAOC) - a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and is in its 21st year! Known for high quality art, AOG has attracted 8,000-10,000 visitors annually.
This year, while we are making application process accommodations for our "AOG 2020 Invited-Status" Artists, we want to let "NEW" Artist Applicants for 2021 know that we will be transparent with how many booth spaces are available when Period Two - General Open Application Period (December 1, 2020 - April 30, 2021) opens. New Artist Applicants may look for this updated information in our "Rules of Exhibition" on Zapplication - after our returning 2020 Artists have completed the Early Application Period and upon opening "Period Two."
With the possibility of "COVID-19 Social Distancing Restrictions” potentially still being in place in June of 2021, we are planning to keep it our booth numbers to under 125. This will ensure social distancing between booths while maintaining good traffic flow and increasing artist success. Every effort will be made to keep the same category/media artists dispersed throughout.
We are currently looking to confirm a location that will be able to safely accommodate all of our artists, provide opportunities for our attendees to socially distance, and will meet all of our other festival needs - including entertainment (if safely feasible), food trucks, adult beverages from our sponsor West Sixth Brewing, a planned schedule of artist demonstrations and (hopefully) children’s art activities.
Because of the cancellation of our event in 2020 (and many other art festivals and events), the excitement and anticipation of what is to come for AOG 2021 is palpable! AOG and AAOC are all ready to provide you with a safe, fun and family friendly cultural community experience - one that will continue to be a favorite among both visitors and artists, alike! We hope that you are as excited as we are about the possibilities that lie ahead for us all for this year as we strive to make this an extra special event for our artists and for the community. We appreciate your support and participation and hope that we will see you in June of 2021!
